Beta Technologies is seeking a Harness Technician to join our team. As a Harness Technician, you will be an integral part of certified aircraft development and production. Aircraft electrical wiring is a critical system vital to the success of the business. This role will focus on wiring, bundling, assembling connectors, and testing. It will also support research and development efforts in motors, inverters, batteries, flight controls, etc.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Build innovative and functional electrical systems.
  • Interpret, understand, and generate drawings, schematics, and wire lists.
  • Oversee the assembly, repair, and modification of aircraft wiring harnesses for certification and research.
  • Cut, strip, shield electrical wiring.
  • Crimp contacts and splices; populate connectors; assemble and develop connector constructions.
  • Advise engineering on manufacturability and maintainability.
  • Assist engineering with tooling and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience building wiring harnesses, preferably for aircraft.
  • Experience in aerospace maintenance or electrical systems maintenance.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing or maintenance planning and execution.
  • Ability to operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering irons, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Proficiency with Slack and Google G Suite tools.
  • Ability to obtain airport SIDA clearance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft-certified design standards such as AS50881, IPC 620, AC43.
  • Attention to detail and dexterity with hand tools.
