Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
  • Proven experience in wire, cable, and harness assembly product development and support.
  • Experience managing engineering change processes and complex BOM structures.
  • Ability to interpret and create detailed engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Experience using ERP or PLM systems to manage product data and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer specifications into manufacturable harness designs that meet performance targets.
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of Bills of Materials (BOMs) from quotation to production release.
  • Serve as primary technical interface between cross-functional teams and external clients to resolve engineering challenges.
  • Oversee ECN documentation and implementation to maintain design integrity.
  • Lead design-to-cost initiatives to improve competitiveness without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate product launches ensuring documentation and manufacturing processes are aligned for execution.

As a Lead Harness Systems Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between complex customer requirements and high-performance manufacturing output. You will leverage your expertise in wire and harness design to drive product innovation, ensure seamless production integration, and deliver high-quality connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Translate intricate customer specifications into robust, manufacturable product designs that exceed performance expectations.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy from initial quotation through final production release.
  • Act as the primary technical interface, facilitating clear communication between cross-functional teams and external clients to resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Drive the engineering change management process by overseeing the documentation and implementation of ECNs to maintain design integrity.
  • Optimize product portfolios by spearheading design-to-cost initiatives that enhance competitiveness without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate the technical aspects of product launches, ensuring all documentation and manufacturing processes are aligned for successful implementation.
