Insight Global is seeking a Harness Manufacturing Engineer in the Greater San Jose area to design build and installation processes for wire harness assemblies. You will conduct DFx reviews and help develop the processes, supply chain, and infrastructure to scale manufacturing for safety-critical space systems from prototype to production.

The role requires hands-on experience in high-reliability aerospace environments, familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA-STD-8739.4, and proficiency with

• 3+ years of experience fabricating wire harnesses.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Harness Manufacturing Engineer in the Greater San Jose area. You will be responsible for designing the build and installation processes for wire harness assemblies, conducting design for excellence (DFx) reviews, and developing the processes, supply chain, and infrastructure that allow the business to scale. The projects you work on will set the foundation for how manufacturing operations runs for years to come, in a hands-on environment that takes safety-critical space systems from prototype to production.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related field.3+ years of professional experience fabricating wire harnesses.5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environmentsExperience building complex, highly reliable wire harness assemblies, with a strong background in IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, or comparable harness quality standards.Experience with software tools for design & production management such as PLM and MESExperience in a cleanroom manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similarExperience with CAD tools for mechanical, electrical, and wire harness designExperience in automated test equipment for continuity, HI-POT, and other functional validation
