Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. seeks an undergraduate Hardware Design Verification Engineering Intern/Co-Op in the United States.

You will work on high-end Machine Intelligence products, contributing to design, validation, and delivery, with opportunities across simulation, debugging, and system-level testing. You will collaborate with engineers, write scripts, and participate in regression flows while using tools like Verilog/SystemVerilog and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a United States university in a Bachelor's program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Perl, Shell, UVM, Verilog/SystemVerilog is encouraged.
• Familiarity with digital systems, logic design, and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and complete performance verification test plans, simulation test cases and models.
• Write scripts to track and manage compute resources using Perl/Python.
• Test regression flows using Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP to support project development.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and team efficiency.
• Support debugging and improvement of test cases/models and Verilog/SystemVerilog coding.
• Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
• Conduct production validation of integrated hardware and software functionalities.
• Engage in low-level testing of hardware/software features and identify root causes.
