Job summary

Midas Robotics is seeking a test engineer to own end-of-line testing across our production line in San Francisco. This hands-on mechatronics role covers mechanical, electrical, and data work, ensuring every sensor ships through robust test systems.

Responsibilities include fixture creation, test procedure development, sensor calibration, and debugging of analog/digital signals. You will design, build, and maintain fixtures and hardware to support production testing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PCB bring-up, validation, and assembly.
• Analog circuit testing, debugging, and analysis.
• Debugging digital communication signals (I2C, SPI, UART) with a scope or logic analyzer.
• Designing and building test fixtures (CAD, 3D printing).
• Writing Python scripts to automate tests and log data.

Midas Robotics builds tactile sensors that give robotic end-effectors a sense of touch. We're a three-person team in San Francisco. We raised a $2.2M pre-seed three months ago, and we're already shipping sensors to robotics companies.

The Role

We're hiring a test engineer to own testing across our production line. This is a hands-on mechatronics role that covers mechanical, electrical, and data work. Every sensor we ship will pass through systems you build.

What You'll Do

• Own end-of-line testing: build fixtures, write procedures, set pass/fail criteria, and log data
