Job summary

Life360 is hiring a Hardware Test Technician to run the hardware test lab and support engineers in shipping reliable consumer devices. You will execute test sequences, perform precise soldering and rework, log results, and manage lab equipment and returns.

This on-site role requires collaboration with electrical, RF, and validation engineers, reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering. The position is based in Fremont, CA, with a focus on scalable lab processes, quality control, and

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience in a hardware test lab.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Self-directed and organized with the ability to run a lab day to day.

Responsibilities

• Run the test lab day to day, set up devices, log results, and maintain calibration.
• Triage and root-cause field returns, log trends, and feed engineers.
• Build test fixtures and perform precision soldering and rework.
• Design repeatable, automated tests and develop test harnesses with AI help.
• Handle samples, shipments, and lab program management.
• Support scaling the team while maintaining safety and quality.
