Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for engineers that epitomize technical and operational excellence. Full cycle product development experience from inception through maturity is important. Working simultaneously on projects in different phases is common; you are able to demonstrate strong troubleshooting and validation skills in addition to the understanding of mechanics of ongoing operational excellence and product support. You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

As a Hardware Test Engineer you will be responsible for defining and implementing manufacturing test strategy for new hardware devices. You will be a key member of the NPI team and will be the main interface with the internal operations team as well as our Contract Manufacturers (CM). In this role, you will:

1. Work along with Design/Product Engineering to define the test strategy, implement and optimize test setup/processes at the Pilot line & CM including qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and test software.
2. Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds.
3. Deploy and provide training for Contract Manufacturing Team including developing test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to support onsite production.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations of electronic devices.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with PCBA board testing.
• Familiar with defining, developing and implementing manufacturing test strategy for new products.
• Experience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defects.
• Understanding of DFT (Design for Test) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) method a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with production quality metrics such as Lean manufacturing.
• Experience with record of releasing manufacturing test for at least two products from concept through production.
• Experience working with International CM Partners.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to work cross-functionally with teams and locations.
• Interested and able to travel internationally.
• May be required to handle and lift heavy objects up to approximately 50 lbs.
