In this role, you will

  • Perform rework on small-footprint electronic components under a microscope, and operate a BGA rework station to solder large BGA ICs
  • Assemble, wire, crimp, and solder electrical panels, circuit boards, and test setups.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electronic components and PCBAs.
  • Collaborate with Aurora’s hardware and embedded software design engineering teams to create validation test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Plan, evaluate, and procure the required test equipment for lab validation work.
  • Perform electrical, functional, and characterization measurements at the component, board, and system levels.
  • Maintain lab test equipment, manage inventory, and assist with calibration tasks.
  • Read and interpret harness drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
  • Investigate failure root causes and contribute to product improvements.
  • Support the hardware design team with board bring-up, experiments, evaluations, and measurements.
  • Set up test racks and networking infrastructure on Linux-based operating systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in testing, measuring, and analyzing electrical systems.
  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assembly acceptance standards.
  • Experience with lab test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, VNAs, TDRs, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Ability to set up test stations with network configurations.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Familiar with EE design tools, such as schematic capture and layout.
  • Experience on ISO16750-2 testing
  • Experience on Lidar HW design and/or testing

The base salary range for this position is $104,000-$167,000 [per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
