Figure, an AI robotics company in San Jose, is seeking a Hardware Technician to support and maintain data collection hardware systems including VR/AR headsets and laptops for the Pilot team.

You will set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware across our data operation infrastructure, ensuring reliable equipment, documented procedures, and seamless sessions for researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hardware support, IT technician, or similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with VR/AR headset setup and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, connectivity, and system configuration issues.
• Experience with laptop imaging, configuration, and deployment.
• Familiarity with basic electronics, cable management, and equipment calibration.
• Basic networking knowledge and setup experience (Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, router provisioning, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 30 lbs and work in a lab environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.

We're seeking a Hardware Technician to manage and maintain our data collection hardware systems, including VR/AR headsets, laptops. This role is critical to ensuring our data collection operations run smoothly and our data collection Pilot team have the hardware support they need.

You'll be the go-to person for hardware setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance across our data operation infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $85,000 - $110,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
