Job summary

Netfor, Inc. is seeking an IT Inventory & Provisioning Technician for our Indianapolis field office. The role focuses on hardware provisioning, IT inventory management, and frontline IT support both in person and remotely.

The position requires detail orientation, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while adhering to IT security policies. It is a temporary in-office role with responsibilities including imaging laptops and maintaining inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Detail oriented with strong IT inventory management.
• Ability to provide frontline IT support in person and remotely.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and IT policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT inventory at Indianapolis field office, including imaging and reimaging laptops.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and audit inventory for accuracy.
• Handle shipping and receiving of inventory and follow up on equipment returns.
• Provide in-person and remote desktop support for users.
• Provide AV support for meeting rooms and manage support tickets.

Job description

Position Description

This position will be fully in office at our Indianapolis field office and it is a temporary position. This position will be responsible for hardware provisioning and IT inventory management at this location. Along with hardware responsibilities, this position will also help provide frontline IT support both in person and remotely. We need someone who is very detail oriented to ensure the accurateness of our IT inventory with the ability to own provisioning hardware, inventory, and requesting inventory replenishment as needed.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of all IT inventory at Indianapolis field office including:
  • Imaging and reimaging laptops.
  • Maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Auditing inventory for accurateness.
  • Shipping and receiving inventory.
  • Follow up with users to ensure timely equipment return.
• General in person and remote desktop support including support of user setups and troubleshooting.
• Audio visual support for meeting rooms.
• Management of tickets to ensure timely resolution and appropriate escalation.
• Ability to follow and maintain technical documentation relating to role.
• Excellent customer service skills in support of executives in office as well as remote employees.
• Adherence to security, HIPAA, and other IT policies.

Experience

• Associate's Degree/Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in IT or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues with or without documentation, while appropriately escalating issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivating and having the capability to learn new things on your own in support of your work.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to manage, audit, and identifying ordering needs for in office IT inventory.
• Ability to identify documentation needs and ownership of documentation creation.
• Ability to manage task prioritization based on service desk and customer needs.

Computer skills

• Experience imaging computers.
• Microsoft Windows and MacOS support experience.
• General IT desktop support skills.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Telephony support experience a plus.
• MDM support experience a plus.
• Basic networking experience a plus.

Licenses/Certifications

• CompTIA A + and or Network + - Preferred.
• Any Microsoft desktop related certifications.
