Job Summary

Hardware Team Members are responsible for assisting customers on the sales floor and helping them find the products they need. As a Hardware Clerk, you will be trained by experienced team members and will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders through our register system. To succeed in this role, you should be a team player who understands that success depends on supporting those around you and is eager to contribute to an excellent team.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Knowledge of hardware-related products, willingness to learn; retail sales and marketing experience; strong customer service skills; excellent interpersonal skills; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety for team members, guests, and products.
• Handle products and equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Provide exceptional guest service, aiming to delight and surprise customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Familiarize yourself with the hardware department's products to assist and advise guests.
• Stay informed about current promotions and advertisements.
• Replenish stock on shelves.
• Assist with processing new shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the department and work area, including the back room.
• Promote an inclusive environment that values diversity and respect among team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
