Job summary

Google Sunnyvale is seeking a Hardware Systems Design Engineer for Platforms Infrastructure to design and bring up hardware systems for large-scale data centers, collaborating with ASIC/FPGA, software, verification, manufacturing and field teams. The role emphasizes on-site work and system-level integration to deliver high-performance hardware powering Google services.

The position requires on-site capabilities in Sunnyvale, strong electronics background, PCB design and validation expertise, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
2 years in a hardware design environment, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
Experience with electronics principles, circuit design, PCB design and layout.

Responsibilities

Lead the hardware design on a system or sub-system of a data center hardware product.
Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab.
Gather requirements, define high level architecture, and execute hardware design and product validation.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, product, deployment to productize designs and field support.
Drive product from concept to production.
