Description

This is an exciting Hardware Design Engineer opportunity, that starts at product concept and continues all the way through to mass production. You will work with multi-functional teams to realize next generations of iPhone.The scope of work includes design, integration, and validation of rigid boards, printed flexible circuits, and overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology. You will be expected to drive multi-functional technical discussions and propose creative solutions that will require you to make system tradeoffs.There will be opportunities for international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 7 years of industry experience
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals including high speed design, analog and digital design
• Extensive experience with Schematic Capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout expertise
• Experience with design of complex system architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• MS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude
• Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
• Proven track record of leading multi-functional teams
• Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
• Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
• Knowledge of Low voltage power regulation and delivery and fundamentals of Signal and Power Integrity is preferred.
• Experience in Prototype design and validation with custom silicon is a plus
• Experience with scripting languages to assist with hardware development
• Broad experience across applications and technologies
• Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
