Job summary

Nokia is seeking a Hardware Services NPI Program Manager based in Dallas, TX. The role leads the introduction of new hardware products into Nokia's Hardware Services organization, coordinating across MN Business Lines, R&D Product Programs, and HWS to ensure timely, profitable launches with robust service support.

You will drive technology roadmapping, service capability development, and supply planning, while fostering knowledge transfer to global HWS teams and ensuring continual process

The Hardware Services NPI Program Manager is responsible for leading the introduction of new hardware products and technologies into Nokia's Hardware Services (HWS) organization. This role involves comprehensive program and project management, from technology road mapping and service capability development to ensuring seamless competence transfer and continuous process improvement. The manager will act as a key interface between MN Business Lines, R&D Product Programs, and the HWS organization, ensuring that new products are launched efficiently, profitably, and with robust service support.

Key Tasks
  • Gather and analyze new technologies and product ramp-up information from MN Business Lines.
  • Manage project governance for new hardware product introductions into HWS.
  • Define and refine service strategies for repair and spare parts.
  • Develop and implement global demand, supply, and inventory planning capabilities for HWS.
  • Establish and manage purchasing capabilities for repair and spare parts.
  • Provide timely input and follow-up for product program milestone decisions (P0-P8).
  • Support feasibility studies and ensure products are designed with serviceability in mind.
  • Contribute to the development of service business cases.
  • Facilitate the transfer of new product competences to HWS teams globally and regionally.
  • Provide tendering support for early-phase products.
  • Collect and analyze data on SPC cost, pilot customers, manufacturing locations, and volume production demand/supply plans.
  • Assess Repair Center readiness for new product repairs.
  • Ensure the introduction of new products/technologies and their timetables to HWS.
  • Monitor and report on DCC/HWSD Project Milestones tasks fulfillment and completion.
  • Implement continuous improvement and change management initiatives for the HWSD NPI process.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
  • Technology & Portfolio Strategy: Drive technology roadmapping for Hardware Services and provide critical input for portfolio business management decisions (M0-M04).
  • Program & Project Management: Oversee the project mode governance for the ramp-up of new hardware products within HWS, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Service Capability Development: Lead the creation and enhancement of HWS service and delivery capabilities, including defining repair and spare part strategies, establishing global demand, supply, and inventory planning, and developing purchasing capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a primary liaison with MN Business Lines and R&D Product Programs, providing inputs and requirements, and following up on product program milestone decisions (P0-P8).
  • Design for Serviceability & Business Case Support: Support feasibility studies, ensure products are designed for optimal serviceability, and contribute to the development of robust service business cases.
  • Competence & Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and competences for new hardware products to the global and regional HWS organizations.
  • Process Improvement & Performance Monitoring: Drive continuous improvement and change management within the HWS New Product Introduction (NPI) process, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as NPI Project Milestone Readiness (PMR).
Key Skills And Experience
Knowledge & Experience

Program Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth).

  • SAP P20: For enterprise resource planning, likely covering procurement, inventory, and financial aspects.
  • CARES: Potentially a customer relationship or service management tool, useful for tracking service-related data.
  • JIRA: For project management, task tracking, and managing NPI project milestones and issues.
  • PuMa: (Presumably Project/Program Management tool) For overall program oversight and resource allocation.
  • HWS Tool Box: A specialized toolkit for Hardware Services, containing various utilities for product management and analysis.
  • Moulin Rouge: Could be for data analysis, reporting, or a specialized planning tool.
  • E-Espares: An electronic system for managing spare parts, crucial for inventory and supply chain planning.
Power BI:

For creating dashboards, visualizing KPIs, and analyzing performance data related to NPI projects and service capabilities.
