Job summary

Riverside Research in Dayton, OH seeks a Microelectronics Security Data Scientist to advance hardware security through data science, ML, and deep learning. The role requires collaboration with engineers, SMEs, and program managers on open-ended R&D projects and secure facilities.

The candidate will handle data science lifecycles, mentor junior researchers, and contribute to proposals while traveling 2–3 times per year. U.S. citizenship and TS upgrade readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 3 years with a Master’s) or equivalent work exp.
• Secret clearance to start, ability to obtain TS clearance and program access approvals.
• Expertise in ML for signal/image data: unsupervised, Bayesian, regression, DL, GNNs, inference.
• Proficient in Python and data science libraries (NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib).
• Experience with time-series or image data processing, feature extraction, model development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data science research for microelectronic hardware security using DL and statistics.
• Manage end-to-end data science lifecycle: data prep, modeling, evaluation, and presentation.
• Develop whitepapers and presentations communicating findings to diverse audiences.
• Contribute to proposals for new research in related technology areas.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior researchers and collaborate across teams.
• Work with customers and partners on complex R&D projects in secure facilities.
