Job summary

McLendon Hardware Kent is seeking a Temporary Part-time Sales Associate to provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. You will help shoppers identify needs, answer questions, process orders, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized selling floor.

This hourly, non-exempt role pays $16.66 to $23.75 per hour with benefits including employee discounts, 401(k) with employer match, paid sick time, and additional health and life coverage for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong math, reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Basic knowledge of lumber/building materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess needs to provide product recommendations.
• Process sales, orders, and price lookups accurately.
• Stock shelves and maintain a clean selling area.
• Assist with loading and unloading items as needed.
• Participate in cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
