Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Hardware/Mechanical Power Engineer for a Federal Customer role, on-site in McLean, VA. The candidate will design, integrate, validate, and sustain mission-critical infrastructure, with TS/SCI clearance.

This role emphasizes hardware and power/environmental considerations, test support, and producing documentation, diagrams, and compatible solutions for secure government programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, hardware engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and support system integration efforts.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting, validation, or lab/test activities.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a secure operational environment.
• Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program.

Responsibilities

• Support system design, requirements analysis, and technical solution development.
• Integrate and validate hardware, infrastructure, and subsystem components.
• Develop or execute test plans, procedures, and technical evaluations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues involving systems, hardware, or infrastructure.
• Contribute to rack, power, cooling, cabling, and physical integration planning as applicable.
• Produce technical documentation, diagrams, procedures, and support artifacts.
• Coordinate with security, network, automation, and field teams during implementation.
• Recommend improvements that enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
