Job summary

Keysight Technologies USA is seeking an engineer to own high-frequency hardware designs for next-generation time-domain measurement instruments. You will collaborate with a global team of engineers to define block diagrams, develop frontends and sub-systems, and drive designs from concept to manufacturability.

The role emphasizes end-to-end design, hands-on measurement setup, and strong communication within a diverse team, with relocation to Santa Rosa, CA as needed.

Qualifications

• Open to BS or MS candidates with Electrical or Optical Engineering focus and hardware for signal processing and digital comms.
• Experience delivering pieces of a system block diagram and discussing tradeoffs.
• End-to-end hardware design for 20GHz–200GHz with testing to prove performance.
• Ability to set up optical/electrical measuring instruments to capture waveforms.
• Experience moving prototypes to volume manufacturing in a global context.
• Strong communication and teamwork across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware designs with a multi-functional global team.
• Design frontends and sub-systems for high-frequency instruments.
• Integrate designs into new instruments with hardware and software teams.
• Document and present measurement IP and test methodologies.
• Support customers and assist with product integration and testing.
• Learn new technologies and adapt to evolving design challenges.
