Job summary

Fleet Farm in Appleton, WI is seeking a Merchandise Planner – Hardware to ensure the right products, in the right quantities, at the right locations, at the right time. You will build demand forecasts and analyze sales and inventory trends across the Hardware category.

You’ll partner with Merchandising, Inventory Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and vendor partners to align plans with business objectives, adapt to seasonal demand, and support product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in retail planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong understanding of forecast accuracy and seasonality.

Responsibilities

• Build short- and long-term demand forecasts across Hardware by store.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and forecast data to spot risks and opportunities.
• Incorporate promotions and launches into demand plans.
• Monitor forecast performance and adjust accordingly.
• Collaborate with Category Managers, Inventory, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
• Use analytics to develop clear recommendations for decisions.
• Adjust forecasts when demand or market conditions change.
• Support planning for new products, seasonal transitions, and phase-outs.
• Communicate insights and build cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain planning calendars and accurate data.
