SimVentions is a Virginia-based, 100% employee-owned company seeking a junior to mid-level software developer to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software for hardware control systems.

Requires a BS in engineering, science or technical field, 3–8 years of software development, and skills in C/C++ (or Python/Rust). Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required; about 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Rust (if no C or C++ experience).
• Experience developing applications that communicate with hardware devices, controllers, sensors, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware integration issues.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications that interface with hardware systems.
• Design, implement, and test device communication and control functionality.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and integration issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions.
