You will utilize the new fixture to characterize deflection states using a Smartscope, test system-level impacts using a scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometer, and complete data analysis to summarize results and recommend the next steps. The results from this work will give you the opportunity to share the results and make recommendations to improve existing designs and for potential use on future products.

About You

  • Strong affinity for a hands-on approach to engineering and interacting with various engineering disciplines.
  • Team player, responsible, and motivated.
Your Experience Includes
  • Able to work 100% on site during the internship.
  • Able to use SolidWorks to design and detail components
  • Able to conduct extensive lab measurement and testing using SLDV, Smartscope, Keyence and MATLAB station, etc.
  • Skillful in using Python to write testing scripts.
  • Experience with mechanical instrumentation and tools.
  • Prior experience or exposure in mechanical design experience as a plus.
  • Current 2nd year or 3rd year Bachelor's student with major in Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering.
