Job summary

3dB Labs is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems Engineers. You will drive hardware development from concept through fielded deployment and partner with Systems, Software, and Program Management to align roadmaps across critical programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of hardware engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience maintaining hardware documentation including schematics, BOMs, ICDs, and design description documents.
• Familiarity with government-format deliverable documentation (CDRLs, SOWs).
• Strong communication skills to articulate trade-offs to engineers and stakeholders.
• Active TS/SCI clearance preferred; minimum Secret required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
• Own hardware development across the full lifecycle from requirements to production.
• Drive best practices in hardware design, documentation, testing, and configuration management.
• Support and lead formal program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Coordinate cross-discipline efforts to meet system-level requirements and interfaces.
• Enable team execution by removing blockers and planning resources.
