Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher company, in Vista, CA, is seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern to support sustainment and VAVE projects for Aperio Whole Slide Imaging Scanners. You will join the Hardware Engineering team and report to the Manager, Hardware Engineering, contributing to cost reduction and reliability improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, System or Biomedical Engineering, you will perform system-level testing,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, System, or Biomedical Engineering or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level testing to produce data for design of experiments.
• Work with engineering team on tasks including machining, electronics, programming, verification & validation and system-level design.
• Update or refine engineering drawings or processes under guidance of senior engineers.
