Job summary

Dell Technologies invites outstanding undergraduates to join the Hardware Engineering Intern program in Austin, TX. You will help define future architecture for Dell client products, perform simulations, develop POC work and contribute to hardware testing and documentation.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science degree with a graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028, and has strong MS Office skills and hardware design

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Computer Science undergraduate degree with graduation dates in 2027 or 2028.
• Solid understanding of MS Office and other software productivity tools.
• Hardware Component and Systems Design experience
• Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and processes
• Fundamentals of statistical analysis
• Proficiency in design software: Creo, Fusion, ANSYS, Flotherm XT/Flotherm, Allegro, OrCAD

Responsibilities

• Incubate new products or features enabling product innovation.
• Develop POC and technical specifications for new products and capabilities.
• Perform simulation, analytical analysis, design and hardware testing.
• Interface with multi-discipline teams and adapt to new technologies.
• Develop clear summary reports of investigations and activities.
