Job summary

SGS Consulting in California is seeking an hardware-focused engineer to design, develop and validate hardware components and systems for complex projects.

You will collaborate with engineering, product and manufacturing teams to meet milestones, troubleshoot issues, document reports, support prototype testing, and ensure quality and safety standards. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required along with proven hardware design experience and CAD proficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of hardware issues.


• Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.


• Support prototype development and testing activities.


• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of display optical characterization & trouble shooting.


• Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.


• Previous experience with developing customized test stations.


• Basic optical metrology, basic data analysis skills, basic ability to assemble test jigs

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.


• Proven experience in hardware design and development.


• Proficiency with CAD tools and hardware simulation software.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
