Job summary

LER TechForce in Oklahoma City seeks an Electronics Engineer/Hardware Engineer to design, validate, and industrialize electronics for robust wireless control products. You will handle schematic design, component selection, board bring-up, and ensure compliance readiness.

Collaborate with embedded, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams; drive prototype bring-up, define test methods, and contribute to DFMEA and design reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of board-level design and validation experience for embedded products (analog/digital/power).
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate, and industrialize electronics for robust wireless control products; schematics, components, board bring-up, DFM/DFS, and compliance readiness.
  • Collaborate with embedded, RF, mechanical, compliance, and manufacturing teams to translate concepts into dependable products.
  • Create mixed-signal schematics (MCUs, power, sensors, comms, HMI); guide PCB layout for signal integrity, thermal, and EMI.
  • Lead prototype bring-up, define test methods and fixtures; work with software for board enablement and diagnostics.
  • Engineer interfaces and system integration with receivers/transmitters, actuators, and safety-relevant I/O; address harnessing and enclosure considerations.
  • Prepare design documentation (BOMs, specs, test reports); support EMC/EMI, environmental, and regulatory testing.

What you will be doing:
  • Design, validate, and industrialize electronics for robust wireless control products, covering schematic design, component selection, board bring-up, DFM/DFS, and compliance readiness.
  • Partner closely with embedded, RF, mechanical, compliance, and manufacturing teams to move concepts to dependable products used in demanding environments.
  • Create mixed signal schematics (MCUs, power, sensors, comms, HMI); guide PCB layout for signal integrity, thermal, and EMC.
  • Drive prototype bring-up and verification; define test methods and fixtures; collaborate with software for board enablement and diagnostics.
  • Engineer interfaces and system integration with receivers/transmitters, actuators, and safety-relevant I/O; collaborate on harnessing and enclosure considerations.
  • Prepare design documentation (BOMs, specs, test reports); support EMC/EMI, environmental, and regulatory testing with compliance engineering.
  • Participate in gated product development, design reviews, DFMEA inputs, change control, and release to manufacturing.
  • Integrate functional safety principles into design, verification, and documentation.
What you'll need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in board-level design and validation for embedded products (analog/digital/power).
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium/OrCAD), lab instrumentation, and practical debugging.
Preferred:
  • Experience with industrial communications protocols (CAN/J1939), isolation strategies, and robust power design for mobile/heavy equipment use.
  • Awareness of functional safety concepts and product compliance pathways (FCC/RED/UL/NEC; ATEX/IECEx exposure a plus).
  • Hands-on collaboration with firmware teams on bootloaders, drivers, and board diagnostics; familiarity with secure design and lifecycle controls.
