Job summary

Wistron is seeking a hardware engineer to lead end-to-end EE development for server hardware projects. You will own the design proposal process and drive from kickoff to mass production, focusing on PCIe, power delivery, and thermal solutions.

You will collaborate with mechanical, system, manufacturing and quality teams, perform tolerance analysis and simulations, review PCB layouts, and manage BOMs to optimize cost and manufacturability. Minimum 3+ years of hardware R&D experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hardware R&D experience.
• Strong knowledge of hardware circuit design and system architecture.
• Experience with layout review, tolerance analysis, and simulations.
• Understanding of PCIe, power delivery, and thermal design concepts.
• Experience managing BOMs and driving design optimization and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Support RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities and prepare Server hardware design proposals.
• Perform logical circuit design and schematic development.
• Conduct PCB layout reviews and checks to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
• Maintain and optimize card BOMs, including component standardization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Own overall EE project responsibility, from project kickoff through mass production (M.P.) release.
• Perform tolerance analysis, simulations, and technical issue resolution.
• Optimize hardware system designs with focus on PCIe, power delivery, and thermal solutions.
• Engage with customers early in the concept stage to support design alignment and requirements definition.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, system, manufacturing, and quality.
