Job summary

Meta in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for consumer hardware and infrastructure. You will collaborate with mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver impactful solutions across the product lifecycle.

You will own subsystems, lead schematic design, board layout, bring-up, and debugging, and evaluate vendor reference designs to meet performance and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of electrical design experience with track record of shipping high-volume products.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems or subsystems.
• Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics and PCB layouts; bring-up and debugging in lab or field.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical development of complex subsystems or moderately complex systems under guidance.
• Lead schematic design, board layout, and cross-functional design reviews.
• Propose innovative solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and features.
• Manage hardware bring-up, debugging, and support for manufacturing or deployment.
• Evaluate vendor reference designs and adapt them to requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Work autonomously and manage priorities in a distributed team environment.
• Contribute to operational excellence, compliance, or specialized requirements.
