Job summary

Mill is a waste prevention technology company reimagining what it means to eliminate waste, starting with food. As a Product Design Engineering intern at Mill, you’ll be working with hardware components and lab equipment as well as CAD design tools like NX.

Since we’re a small team, your work and learning will span design, tooling, and testing as we push towards launch. Responsibilities include designing and validating new products, developing prototypes, and supporting manufacturing readiness

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (obtained or in progress).
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred).
• Proficient in rapid prototyping methods.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Mill cross functional team on the design and validation of new products.
• Develop prototypes and execute tests to drive design toward mass production maturity.
• Support 3D CAD design and 2D documentation.
• Support engineering build activities, partnering with suppliers and CMs to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
