Job description

Join a small team of engineers building custom hardware systems where performance, reliability, and precision matter at every level of the stack.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning complex hardware from architecture through production and want to work in an environment where impactful technical decisions are made by engineers, not layers of management. You'll partner closely with hardware, FPGA, software, infrastructure, and systems engineers to design and deploy high-performance computing platforms used in demanding production environments.

Unlike highly specialized roles at large organizations, you'll have broad ownership across the entire development lifecycle and the opportunity to influence both architectural decisions and long-term technology direction.

What You'll Do
  • Architect, design, validate, and deliver custom hardware systems and PCBAs
  • Own products from concept, schematic capture, and component selection through manufacturing and deployment
  • Develop high-speed digital systems utilizing technologies such as PCIe, DDR4/DDR5, Ethernet, accelerators, and server-class hardware
  • Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis to ensure robust, scalable designs
  • Create validation strategies and execute hardware bring-up, debugging, and characterization
  • Analyze eye diagrams, BERT results, and lab measurements to correlate real-world performance with simulation data
  • Write Python-based tools and scripts to support bring-up, validation, and manufacturing activities
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and solve complex system-level challenges
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive improvements in system performance, scalability, manufacturability, and reliability
  • Work directly with manufacturing partners and suppliers to bring products into production

  • 5+ years of industry experience developing production hardware
  • Strong experience with high-speed digital design
  • Expertise in schematic capture and board-level architecture
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity fundamentals
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, TDRs, BERTs, and high-speed validation tools
  • Experience in datacenter, networking, HPC, AI/ML, or consumer electronics environmentsExperience with VHDL, Verilog, C, or C++
  • Personal hardware projects or demonstrated passion for engineering outside of work
  • Why Engineers Are Interested
  • End-to-end ownership of real hardware products
  • Small, highly technical engineering team
  • Significant influence over architecture and design decisions
  • Fast-moving, low-bureaucracy environment
  • Exposure to challenging performance and scale problems
  • Opportunity to work alongside exceptional engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Compensation designed to reward technical contribution and long-term impact

This position offers a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward technical impact, ownership, and long-term contribution.

  • Significant annual discretionary bonus tied to individual and firm performance
  • Meaningful long-term upside through a performance-driven compensation structure
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
