Job summary

Plexus Corp. is offering an internship position in hardware engineering where you will develop hardware and system concepts to meet customer requirements.

The role is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $23–$27/hr, with pay determined by location, experience, education and skill level. You will implement and verify hardware designs, deliver prototypes with schematics and PCB layouts, and develop project documentation in line with quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering for the duration of the internship.
• Sophomore or Junior status preferred.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Experience with FPGA design and test benches or circuit design and layout preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and verify hardware design using EDA tools.
• Deliver prototype hardware with schematics and PCB layouts.
• Develop documentation per quality and change procedures.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, software and mechanical engineers to review designs.
• Mentor and coach from experienced hardware engineers.
• Take measurements of analog hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and bring-up of prototype hardware in lab.
• Analyze circuit designs with SPICE and finite element tools.
