Job summary

Amazon LEO is seeking a Hardware Engineer to own hardware designs for customer terminals in a high-volume production environment. You will design high-speed digital, RF, power, and mixed-signal circuitry, and collaborate with product, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, PCB design experience, and 3+ years in hardware engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in motherboard design and PCB layout including schematic capture.
• Experience in new hardware product development.
• Experience designing and debugging digital, RF, or power circuits.
• Experience with board bring-up, validation, and failure analysis.
• 3+ years of hardware engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design high-speed digital, RF, power, and mixed-signal circuitry in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop and optimize electronic subsystems with a focus on cost, simplicity, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Evaluate design architectures and component selections to reduce BOM cost and simplify design.
• Perform trade studies balancing performance, cost, schedule, and customer experience.
• Own schematic capture and work with PCB layout engineers for production-ready designs.
