Job summary

Alpitronic in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Analysis Engineer to establish and structure repair and analysis across service, production, logistics, and quality. You will perform detailed failure analyses, manage customer concerns, and drive 360-degree analysis to ensure timely, coordinated actions.

You will work with R&D, Production, and Quality teams, use statistical tools to analyze failure data, develop repair strategies, and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Experience with failure analysis techniques (FMEA, 8D, RCA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience with quality control or manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Experience in power electronics development and/or failure analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Performing detailed failure analyses to determine the cause of product, component or system failures.
  • Analyze failure reports and determine the root cause of the issues; implement tests to replicate failure modes and validate corrective actions.
  • Make proposals for corrective actions.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of failures and their corresponding analyses.
  • Collaborating with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to implement process and product improvements.
  • Utilizing statistical tools and software to analyze failure data and trends.
  • Perform risk assessments to prevent future failures.
  • Presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Objective

As an Analysis Engineer you will establish and structure the repair and analysis for the following areas:

  • Execution and documentation of analysis and repairs, including field returns and production units
  • Customer facing, manage customer concerns, 360 degree analysis
  • Identification of root causes, development of repair strategies, and continuous improvement of analysis methods

You will also ensure repair and analysis activities are completed on time, efficiently and in a coordinated manner across departments (service, production, logistics, procurement, product quality).

  • In-depth knowledge of power electronics, repairing equipment and power electronic components in a high voltage environment
  • Experience in motor controls, drives, UPS, solar inverter space in high voltage applications, highly desirable
