Job summary

Landscaping by J. Michael in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our growing crew on commercial and residential projects along the South Shore.

You’ll lay out projects, supervise installations, and ensure safety and quality across walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of masonry and landscape construction experience and holds a Massachusetts driver's license; hydraulic license is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of masonry and landscape construction experience.
• Massachusetts driver’s license required.
• Hydraulic license a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• CDL B preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage your crew, ensuring daily success.
• Layout projects and guide installations.
• Work on walks, patios, stone walls, bluestone, pavers, segmented walls.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping them safe and in good order.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and manage your crew, making sure everyone is set up for success each day
• Lay out projects and guide the team through installations
• Work on a variety of builds including walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other tools
• Help maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping everything clean, safe, and in good working order

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in masonry and landscape construction
• A valid Massachusetts driver’s license
• Hydraulic license is a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
• CDL B is preferred
• A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example
