Qualifications

  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects across franchises.

Responsibilities

  • Dive into licensee requests and research; respond to strengthen partnerships.
  • Attend meetings and translate discussions into actionable insights.
  • Take notes to keep the category team aligned and informed.
  • Maintain and update buy boards for up-to-date strategies.
  • Handle folders with POS data, orders, pitches, and franchise intel.
  • Coordinate with marketing for approvals, ensuring campaigns are compliant.
  • Maintain and share licensee lists with accuracy.
  • Support PR and social media tasks to boost brand presence.
  • Capture data for business analysis, trends, and retail visits.
  • Assist in contract/amendment processes as needed.
  • Create product presentations highlighting categories.

About the Role & Program:

From toys to apparel, books to games, and much more, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) brings our company’s products, through stories and characters, to markets worldwide. With a portfolio of renowned franchises, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century Studios, and National Geographic, our efforts to deliver innovative and experiential products are designed to entertain and inspire! As our Spring 2027 intern, you’ll support our dynamic and fast-paced multi-category hardlines business that encompasses stationery, outdoor, seasonal, sports, collectibles, and novelties (to name a few), ensuring there’s never a dull moment. If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager of Licensing Hardlines, Disney & Pixar. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, California area from January 2027 to June 2027.

What You Will Do:
  • Dive into the world of licensee requests and research and respond with agility, ensuring our partnerships flourish
  • Attend meetings and transform discussions into actionable insights
  • Your resourceful notetaking will keep our category team aligned and informed
  • Take charge of maintaining and updating buy boards, ensuring our strategies are always up-to-date and ready for action
  • Handle Box folders that contain POS data, orders, pitches, and franchise intel
  • Act as a liaison between our team and others for marketing approvals, ensuring our campaigns and promotions are seamless and compliant
  • Maintain and distribute licensee lists with meticulous care, keeping our records accurate and accessible
  • Collaborate with our team to handle PR and social media requests, amplifying our brand presence
  • Capture crucial data for business analysis, including trend research and retail shopping visits
  • Provide invaluable support in the contract and amendment process when requested, making sure our partnerships are rock-solid
  • Craft product presentations that showcase our categories in the best light possible
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Excellent digital literacy; very skilled in Keynote, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Outlook
  • Proficiency attending and hosting meetings and webinars with communication platforms like Zoom and Teams
  • Meticulous and organized, able to balance multiple projects across a variety of franchises/brands at a time
  • Proven experience finding creative solutions to business problems
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Prior coursework and/or internship experience in licensing
  • Previous Disney College Program participant
Education:

Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate Senior, Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications or Business

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
  • This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, California area from January 11th, 2027, to June 4th, 2027
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $23.00 per hour.
