Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking Hard Surface Laborers to assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and reconditioning of restoration work across the region.

You will set up forms, mix and place concrete, install components, finish surfaces, and perform site cleanups while traveling to various sites and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; education may be substituted with experience.
• 1+ year in construction and/or outdoor work.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Current DOT physical.
• Professional or personal use of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up forms for concrete work.
• Mix, pour, or place concrete.
• Install rebar, expansion joints, or carbon fiber.
• Spread and smooth concrete surface.
• Apply finishing coat to concrete surfaces.
• Lift tools and equipment of varying weight safely.
• Tamp soil and asphalt as required.
• Shovel waste material and patch asphalt or concrete.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take-up, and reconditioning of hard surfaces.
• Backfill trenches and ensure proper drainage.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Clean up work areas and backfilled trenches.
• Place traffic signs and cones to manage site safety.
• Work with materials of varying chemical compounds.
• Willingness to travel regionally for assignments; may drive vehicles over 10k lbs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Setting up forms.
• Mix, pour or place concrete.
• Install rebar, expansion joints, or carbon fiber.
• Spread and smooth concrete.
• Apply finishing coat.
• Properly lift tools, objects, and equipment of varying weight.
• Tamp soil and asphalt.
• Shovel waste material, soil, and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up, and reconditioning of hard surfaces.
• Backfill trenches.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Clean up backfilled trench areas.
• Strategically place traffic warning signs and cones.
• Work with materials of varying chemical compounds.
• Travel frequently within the region for work assignments. May be required to drive a commercial vehicle over 10,000 lbs. but under 26,000 lbs.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• 1+ year in construction and/or outdoor work.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Current DOT physical.
• Professional or personal use of hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Prior asphalt experience.
