Job summary

VCNY Home is seeking an experienced Hard Goods Designer to create innovative products across home décor, tabletop, bath accessories, storage, and kitchenware. You will work on concepts through production, crafting renderings, specs, and tech packs while shaping color palettes and finishes.

The role is based in North Bergen, New Jersey, with a Monday–Thursday in-office schedule and Fridays work-from-home, blending collaboration with focused design time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing consumer hard goods.
• Experience with ceramics, resin, plastic, metal, and mixed materials.
• Proficient in NedGraphics, Rhino, and Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hard goods collections from concept through production.
• Create renderings, technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs.
• Develop trend-right color palettes, finishes, graphics, and product details.
• Collaborate with sourcing, merchandising, product development, and overseas vendors.
• Review prototypes and production samples to ensure quality and design integrity.
• Research market trends, materials, and competitive products.

We are seeking an experienced Hard Goods Designer to develop innovative and trend-right products across home décor, tabletop, bath accessories, storage, and kitchenware categories. The ideal candidate will possess robust design, color, and product development skills, with firsthand experience creating products in ceramics, resin, plastic, metal, and mixed materials.

The position is based in our North Bergen, New Jersey Office - Monday to Thursday. Friday is a work-from-home day.

Key Responsibilities
