Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a creative embedded firmware engineer to develop Taptic Engine firmware for iPhone, Watch, and Mac. You will collaborate with Hardware, Software, QA, and Design to deliver high-quality haptic experiences and bring up prototypes with tight real-time constraints.

The role emphasizes bringing up prototypes, integrating actuator control algorithms, and debugging with JTAG. A BS in CS/CE/ECE and 3+ years of embedded experience are required; MS in Embedded Systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/ECE or related with 3+ years industry experience.
• Expertise in C or C++ for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for haptic/embedded systems with tight real-time requirements.
• Bring up prototypes and integrate control algorithms with sensors and actuators.
• Bench-test firmware to meet performance, power, and thermal targets; work with QA to root cause issues.
