As a handyperson on the Parker Towers Facilities Team, you’ll be responsible for handling basic work orders and repairs.

What you will do:

  • Handle basic work orders within common areas, amenities, and grounds.
  • Provide high levels of customer service within our residents’ homes through basic repairs, including but not limited to:
    • General Maintenance
    • Plumbing repairs
    • Clearing clogged toilets and drains
    • Cleaning up after leaks in apartment homes and common areas
    • Electrical repairs
    • Appliance repairs
  • Communicate information and updates to residents, dispatchers, and supervisors.
  • Represent the property by answering resident questions and being generally helpful while upholding our cultural responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your Supervisor.

What you should have:

  • The ability to work collaboratively to keep the team aligned and focused.
  • The technical experience to handle repair needs of residents and common areas.
  • At least 5 years of field experience.
  • Proficiency with tablet-based work order programs.
  • Ability to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • A strong desire to positively impact others’ lives.
  • Commitment to doing the right thing, regardless of difficulty.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency situations at any time.
  • A valid Driver's License enrolled in the NY State LENS program.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Willingness to work overtime in emergencies.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work from 12 PM to 9 PM.

Base Salary: $31.49

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
