Full-Time Handyperson Positions in Brooklyn and Queens

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing social services for over 125 years, offering more than 160 programs for diverse community needs.

POP Management, part of Catholic Charities, manages affordable housing for low-income seniors, individuals with histories of homelessness, substance abuse, and mental illness. It oversees 25 senior buildings with 2,400 units and 4 residences with 300 units for formerly homeless adults and veterans. The goal is to provide high-quality, responsive housing.

Job Statement:

The Handyperson plays a key role in the maintenance team, ensuring safety and cleanliness in buildings managed by POP Management. Responsibilities include routine repairs, participating in cleaning and sanitizing, and maintaining safety standards.

  • Coordinate with the Superintendent for property maintenance.
  • Perform routine repairs and document via Service Request Orders.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, tenants, and monitor mechanical systems.
  • Assist with cleaning and trash removal per NYC Department of Sanitation guidelines.
