Job summary

ABM is seeking a maintenance-oriented professional to support a range of general upkeep tasks in Mesa, AZ. The role focuses on dependable facility upkeep, basic repairs, housekeeping, and responsive customer service under the direction of the engineering team.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, light fixtures, plumbing, patching, painting, and coordinating with contractors, while maintaining safe work practices and clean spaces. Some extra hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of general maintenance, handyman, construction, or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with mobile devices and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and routine work orders.
• Perform basic lighting maintenance, such as lamp and accessible fixture replacement, within assigned scope and training.
• Perform minor plumbing and restroom repairs, including fixture adjustments, clogs, and basic component replacement.
• Complete general handyman work, including patching, painting, caulking, ceiling tile replacement, and minor building repairs.
• Monitor and maintain stock, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with maintenance or repair work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and mechanical or engineering spaces.
• Perform all work using proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.
• Follow building policies and procedures and participate in required safety and technical training.
• Work occasional extended hours or weekends as needed.
