As part of the Ace Hardware Family here at Ace Handyman Services, we are growing and looking for highly skilled craftsmen to become part of our team. We seek individuals who are productive, professional, motivated, honest, passionate, and good at what they do!

We are looking for a handyman/woman with a minimum of 5+ years of full-time experience. Candidates must have a proven history of performing repairs, replacements, and installations of typical projects associated with residential homes. A consistent full-time employment record working as a handyman/woman, independent contractor, tradesperson, previous handyman company owner, or recent retiree who has worked on exterior and interior projects, both small and large, is essential. Previous experience and abilities are a must, specifically working with trim, doors, drywall repairs, and other trade skills. Properly completing the job 'right the first time' and in a timely manner is the minimum standard.

Job Requirements:

Experience as a handyman/woman with strong work ethics, a professional appearance and demeanor, and a good overall knowledge of handyman work is required. We are looking for skills in any of the following categories: interior and exterior carpentry, trim, doors, flooring, drywall, painting, stucco, windows, fencing, lawn irrigation, etc. You must display excellent customer service skills, the ability to evaluate jobs with the customer, and the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of clients, as well as fellow employees, management, and office personnel.

Specific Qualifications for the Role Include:

• Minimum proof of a high school diploma or GED
• Own a standard set of tools to perform your skills
• Own a truck or van that is always in presentable condition
• Current proof of a valid Florida Driver's License
• Current proof and maintenance of active insurance on the vehicle used for work
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, creativity, and problem-solving skills
• Strong people skills
• Documentation skills
• Ability and desire to consistently learn and improve
• Background check
• Have a smartphone
• (Spanish is not required but is a plus)
