Essential Duties

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:

• Merchandising: Monitors and ensures that product areas are stocked, rotated and displayed to ensure freshness, appeal and easy customer access. Complies with company guidelines for maximizing sales, profitability and customer service by ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly. Completes build-to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise. Maintains inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, stocking merchandise according to schematic. Validates deliveries by verifying invoices and reviewing discrepancies with Store Manager. Prepares displays by assembling, dating and price marking in-store displays.
• Customer Satisfaction: Provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner. Greets customers as they enter and thanks them as they leave. Resolves or assists in resolving routine customer concerns within established guidelines. Reports to work on time and follows dress and appearance code.
• Facility Condition: Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing windows, and disposing of trash. Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety and proper working order. Cleans and checks equipment including coffee machines and refrigeration units.
• Administrative: Attends job-related meetings, assists in maintaining inventory levels and shift audits, fosters cooperation within the team, and performs duties with minimal supervision. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills preferred.
• Ability to perform physical duties as described below.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds, work in cold or warm environments, operate equipment, and stand for long periods are required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Predominantly indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks. Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, and the need for physical activity such as climbing ladders or cleaning.
