Position Summary

Well & Good is seeking a skilled Handyman / Maintenance Professional to join our team as an Independent Contractor. In this role, you'll perform maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across our portfolio of short‑term rental properties. Work is assigned through our platform, giving you the flexibility to accept projects that fit your schedule. You'll handle a variety of service requests ranging from routine maintenance tasks to minor repairs and property improvement projects while helping ensure our homes remain guest‑ready at all times. Compensation is task‑based and paid weekly every Friday.

What You'll Do

• Complete service requests at vacation rental properties, including propane tank replacement, filter changes, furniture assembly, fixture installation, appliance hookups, and general property upkeep
• Perform minor repairs such as drywall patching, caulking, grout repair, door and window adjustments, plumbing repairs, and basic electrical work
• Identify and communicate additional maintenance concerns, material needs, or scope changes discovered on‑site
• Document completed work through company applications using photos and detailed task notes
• Perform all work according to Well & Good brand standards and maintenance procedures
• Ensure projects are completed thoroughly, safely, and on time
• Coordinate with the support team regarding scheduling, supplies, and property‑related issues
• Help maintain a positive guest experience by ensuring properties remain clean, functional, and well‑maintained

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience in general handyman work, maintenance, or light construction
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and general repair work
• Ability to provide your own tools and basic materials for standard repair tasks
• Comfortable using mobile applications such as Slack and Breezeway
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned properties
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, based on property needs
• Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Social Security Number required
• Willingness to complete a background check in accordance with applicable regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with residential properties; vacation rental experience preferred

Compensation, Benefits & More

Compensation

• $30.00 - $50.00 per hour equivalent, depending on project scope and experience
• Weekly Friday payouts
• Task‑based/project‑based compensation structure
