House Doctors in the West Fort Worth area seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform handyman and home improvement tasks with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

You can start part-time for 90 days with a path to full-time. Earn $20–$28/hour, eligible for benefits after conversion, and work with a supportive team on local jobs using your own tools and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction or handyman experience preferred.
• Must handle some on-call shifts and weekends as needed.
• Hands-on knowledge of handyman industry principles, techniques, equipment and supplies.
• Own standard hand and power tools, plus a reliable car or truck.
• Ability to learn basic computer programs and systems.
• Physically capable of bending, lifting 50+ lbs and safe tool handling.
• Valid driver's license, solid references, and pass a background check.
• Friendly, dependable with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete handyman and home improvement projects including repairs, flooring, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Estimate job scope, time and materials for clients.
• Organize and manage equipment required to complete daily tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service and a great experience.
• Represent House Doctors in the local community and network with potential customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Quality Workmanship: Complete handyman and home improvement projects including repairs, flooring, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Project Estimating: Must be able to accurately estimate job scope, time, and materials for clients.
• Job Management: Organize and manage the equipment required to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Customer Service: Work closely with clients to provide exceptional customer service and a great experience.
• Brand Ambassador: Represent House Doctors in the local community and network with potential customers as needed.

Skills & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of construction or handyman experience preferred. (We will consider highly motivated trainees with less experience starting at the training rate if you are willing to learn!)
• Availability: Must be able to handle some on-call shifts and work some weekends as needed to meet client demands.
• Trade Knowledge: Hands‑on knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the handyman industry.
• Tools & Transport: Must have your own standard hand and power tools, plus a reliable car or truck to get to job sites.
• Tech Savvy: Ability to learn and operate basic computer programs and systems.
• Physical Fitness: Able to perform physical labor work, including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and safely handling tools.
• Screening: Valid driver's license required. Must have solid references and be able to pass a standard background check.
• Soft Skills: Friendly personality, strong work ethic, highly dependable, and deeply committed to great customer service.
