We are in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS (Hotel/Motel) in Newark, DE 19713.

We are looking for a handyman/property maintenance technician, PART TIME or FULL TIME, for our Hotel/Motel who can start immediately in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities

General overall property maintenance including but not limited to:

• Drywall repairs
• Roof repairs
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Light plumbing/electrical
• Parking lot maintenance
• Trash/Garbage removal
• Snow removal
• General handyman work

Specific duties include:

• Install or repair sheetrock and paint.
• Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Ensure hotel locks, HVAC, lights, plumbing, and electrical systems are maintained in proper working order for our guests.
• Maintain the exterior of the hotel daily, including exterior trash receptacles, ash trays/smoker stations, and parking lot.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned.
• Assist hotel guests with any guest room issues related to plumbing, electrical, etc.
• Maintain swimming pool, pool equipment, and fitness center equipment.
• Maintain curb appeal through snow removal, lawn care, gardening, and trash removal.

Schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Education

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience

• Handyman/Maintenance: 5 years (Required)
• Maintenance: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification

• Driver's License (Required)
