Facility Maintenance Manager – Court One Athletic Clubs

Full-Time | Lansing Area (Three Locations)

We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee equipment/facility maintenance across all three of our locations. This is a highly hands-on, boots-on-the-ground position that requires someone who is proactive, organized, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities. The right candidate will be deeply involved in daily operations, troubleshooting, planning, and execution—while maintaining clear communication and follow-up with staff, leadership, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly manage day-to-day upkeep of buildings, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs to health and safety standards
• Conduct regular inspections and triage facility needs
• Prepare facilities for events, rentals, and parties
• Coordinate and follow through on repairs, installations, and maintenance
• Communicate effectively with leadership, vendors, and tradespeople
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies
• Perform light to medium work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Transport supplies and small equipment between locations
• Provide supervision to a small team (1–3 employees)
• Complete desk-based planning and communication tasks (approx. 5–7 hours/week)
  
  

Occasional Duties:

• Facility cleaning and general maintenance
• Work from ladders, lifts, or rooftops
• Interact with members and back up front desk staff as needed
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
• Strong leadership and time management abilities
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing demands
• Clear, effective communication—written and verbal
• Professional, honest, reliable, and service-oriented
• Physically capable of lifting and transporting heavy items
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• Carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work
• Residential or commercial HVAC systems
• Pool maintenance (indoor/outdoor)
• Small engine repair
• Basic networking or low-voltage wiring
• Facility management certification (e.g., CFM)
  
  

Schedule & Compensation: This role requires flexibility, including occasional nights, weekends, or emergency response. Compensation is competitive and based on qualifications, availability, and performance. Benefits include medical, dental, and optical insurance, vacation and holiday pay, and a 401(k) plan.
