Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Operations and Engineering Intern to work with our project team and learn daily operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility. You will gain hands-on experience in the Transmission & Distribution department, assisting with laboratory, maintenance, and field activities while observing seasoned engineers.

This temporary internship emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic, with learning opportunities across multiple functions

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Strong ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work under the guidance of an experienced FTE.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility under supervision.
• Gain exposure to Transmission & Distribution department processes and procedures.
• Participate in laboratory, technical, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks at the facility.
• Assist Regional Engineer with planning, development and execution of construction projects.
• Collaborate with experienced operations leaders to learn different functional contributions to plant success.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
