Job summary

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is seeking a Production (Warehouse) Supervisor for the Kansas City, KS facility. This full-time exempt role requires hands-on leadership in packaging, distribution, and warehouse operations.

You will oversee safety training, quality programs, and process improvements, work with quality technicians and plant management, and ensure timely responses to customer issues while promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership through change management, exhibits the 11 ADM leader skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to present material with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and influence people.
• Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts.
• Related industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility handling packaging, distribution, warehouse and delivery issues.
• Works with quality technicians to help implement food safety / sanitation / quality programs to ensure that the facility is aligned with the law, regulatory requirements, and company programs along with continuously looking for improvements to the Quality programs.
• Works to find new and more efficient ways to manufacture, ship and control costs to help add value to ADM and the shareholders.
• Works with Plant Manager to ensure Safety training programs are being completed.
• Monitors the workplace for improvements, safety and personnel concerns.
• Respond to and follow up on customer complaints, while working alongside sales personnel on these issues.
• Promotes Safety and Quality first, then production.
• Participation in inventory reconciliations and in the monthly sanitation / quality / GMP audits.
