Job summary

Bunzl North America is seeking a Warehouse Manager to provide leadership to the branch and manage a wide range of warehouse activities with accuracy, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness. You will supervise staff, control expenses and oversee P&L functions, promote a safe workplace, and partner with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service and Logistics to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma, a preferred Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in warehouse

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years' experience in Warehouse Department management preferably managing a unionized work force.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and related regulations.
• Forklift, hazmat certifications; able to operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift 60–75 lbs., as needed.
• Work at heights up to 26 feet with safety equipment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Flexible, hands-on management style.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork.
• Spanish bilingual skills a plus.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; AS400 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the facility including supervising team members, monitoring expenses and overseeing P&L functions.
• Create and promote a safe workplace and culture of safety.
• Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding to hire top talent.
• Develop associates to become leaders by coaching and motivating.
• Provide effective communication and promote teamwork to meet department objectives.
• Ensure all policies and HR practices are communicated and followed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FMCR, and DOT regulations.
